COTS' Emergency Shelter at Peterboro provides 140 beds, food, and shelter for homeless individuals and families with immediate needs for temporary housing and resources.

Other Supportive Services

COTS' Permanent Supportive Housing provides subsidized housing and direct access to support services that address specific needs and tackle the underlying issues that cause repeat episodes of homelessness​.

COTS' Transitional Housing Program is an intensive, goal-oriented program that assists individuals and families for up to 24 months while they work toward economic stability.​

COTS' Bright Beginnings Infant and Child Development Centers are designed to keep infants and toddlers happy and safe while preparing them for a bright future.​

Founded in 1982, Coalition On Temporary Shelter (COTS) is a private, non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, as well as comprehensive support services for the homeless and at-risk population. COTS’ mission is to alleviate homelessness by providing an array of services which enable people to achieve self-sufficiency and obtain quality affordable housing. COTS provides more than 40,000 nights of emergency shelter for more than 2,000 men women and children annually. COTS also exists to advocate for long-term solutions to the problems of homelessness.
